Hello! You are all invited to attend a pair of addresses I'm giving this week on each half of Gainesville's most accomplished couple: the Hon. General James and Helen Dortch Longstreet. This evening, 1/13, at 7:00 at the Northeast Georgia History Center, I'll be discussing the remarkably brave and successful life of General James Longstreet. This event is free to all museum members and just $5 for everyone else.

This Thursday morning, 1/15, at 10:30 at the Piedmont Hotel Museum at 827 Maple Street, I'll give a presentation on the amazing and inspiring life of Helen Dortch Longstreet. In addition to learning all about "the Fighting Lady," you can tour the magnificently-renovated and beautiful former hotel run by General Longstreet. This event and admission to the museum are free for everyone.
Each address will be fascinating and with a lot of humor, and it would be such a joy to see and visit with you!
Thanks, best regards, and hope to see you soon,
Douglas
